Summary:
We are seeking an experienced cardiac electrophysiology nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join our growing arrhythmia service at the Heart and Vascular Institute at MidHudson Regional Hospital (Poughkeepsie), HealthAlliance Hospital (Kingston), and New Windsor/St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital. The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience with cardiac electrophysiology, including cardiac device management.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assessing and managing arrhythmia patients, pre-admission testing for cardiac EP procedures, cardiac implantable electronic device (CIED) interrogations, remote monitoring for CIEDs, and general support to physicians and medical assistants, all while under the supervision of attending cardiac electrophysiologists, mainly in an outpatient setting, although occasionally including inpatient care.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner or physician assistant program.
- Must hold a current New York State NP or PA license.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- Cardiology experience required, electrophysiology experience preferred.
