Job Summary:

Our Cardiac Telemetry unit is unique in that our nurses take care of patients recovering from open heart surgeries, heart catheterization with stent placement, ablations, pace maker/AICD placement, cardiovascular surgeries and we are a comprehensive stoke/stemi facility.

Responsibilities:

- \n
- Under the general direction of the Director, Manager or Nurse Manager, Registered Nurse (RN) coordinates and provides patient care and assumes individual responsibility and accountability for the provision of nursing care. \n
- Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care is in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, applicable state Nursing Practice Acts, ANA Standards of Practice and the generic and unit structure standards \n

Qualifications
\n
• Looking for candidates that have 1 year of acute care Cardiac Care RN experience or something similar
\n
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
\n
• Current state of Missouri RN licensure required.
\n
• BLS certification required at hire and maintained.
\n
• ACLS required within 6 months.
\n
• Basic computer skills
\n
• Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills required.
\n
• Previous clinical experience preferred, but not required.
\n

General Comments

Additional Information:

Nurse to Patient Ratio: Never more than 5. Max amount of patients is never more than 5. Depending on staffing and acuity ranges from 1:3-1:5
\n
Mid Range: $30.04 - $41.50 (Based on Years of experience)
\n
Shift Differentials: $4/Nights & $4.00/Weekends
\n
Sign-On Bonus:
\n
LIMITED TIME: $30K SIGN ON (Nights Only) *2 Year Commitment
\n
$12k SIGN ON (Days Only) *2 Year Commitment
\n
Relocation: Case by Case Basis

Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- National Institutes of Health (NIH)
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Active unencumbered Registered Nurse Missouri state license
- Graduate from a fully accredited Registered Nurse program
- One year of work experience as Registered Nurse
- One year of EMR experience
- Board Certified

- Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
- Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
- Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
- Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
- A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
- Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
