is collaborating with a hospital in western North Carolina that has an opportunity for a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide locum coverage.

Opportunity Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 7 days per week
• Duties: Rounding, consults, procedures, etc.
• Required Procedures: Arterial line placement, central line placement, cardioversion
• Support Staff: Hospitalists and cardiologists; pulmonary critical care and CV surgery support as needed
• EMR: Cerner
• Must be board-certified
• Paid travel & expenses

During your time off, drive the Blue Ridge Parkway for sweeping mountain views, hike to panoramic overlooks in nearby national forests, and experience live bluegrass and folk music in intimate venues.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant North Carolina state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Two years of work experience as a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• One year of EMR experience
• Board Certified

• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
• Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
