Cardiac Nursing Careers

It’s the chance to make a real difference in patients’ lives through your clinical expertise, empathy, resilience, and dedication. We have openings in these areas:
Adult CVICU
You’ll be an important contributor to a dynamic unit that has earned STS 3-star designation for coronary artery bypass, aortic valve replacement, and mitral valve replacement, as well as ELSO Gold Center of Excellence. We feature a highly experienced staff, 24/7 in-unit Cardiac Intensivist coverage, nurse-driven/multi-disciplinary bedside rounds, a shared governance model, and a 1:1 staffing ratio with support from a CVICU Transport Team and ECMO specialists.
Pediatric CVICU
Within our fast-paced unit, you will provide compassionate, specialized care to our pediatric/neonatal patients. The unit features excellent staffing ratios, extensive training, preceptorship support, and much more. PALS certification is required.
CVOR
You will scrub/circulate, assist with sedation, and provide medication during procedures. You may also help operate cardiopulmonary bypass machines. Common procedures include:
- Coronary artery bypass grafting
- Heart valve repair or replacement
- Insertion of a pacemaker
- Implantable cardioverter-defibrillator insertion
- Maze surgery
- Aneurysm repair
- Heart transplant
- Insertion of ventricular assist device
- Total artificial heart insertion
- Transcatheter structural heart surgery
Cath Lab
You’ll provide direct care to adult or pediatric/neonatal patients undergoing such procedures as diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac catheterizations, peripheral interventions, neuro-interventions, electrophysiology procedures, and interventional radiology procedures. You will have the support of skilled technologists during these procedures.
For all of our cardiac nursing positions, we seek RNs with a passion for delivering the highest standards of care at the most critical moments. You must also have:
A minimum of one year of nursing experience
Excellent critical thinking, judgment, and communication skills
BLS/ACLS certification
